DAVID 'CHIM' SEYMOUR Life 17/7/39 - S.S Sinaia - Mexico
David Seymour documented the twenty day journey of Spanish Republican refugees onboard the S.S Sinaia, bound for Mexico . Chim had documented the Spanish Civil War and now continued the concern by recording the aftermath. With the end of the war, the Republican Governement found itself in exile in France with many of it's supporters interred in camps. The Government negotiated the transfer of up to 150,000 Republicans to Mexico and South America. The S.S Sinaia was to be one of the first ships of the 'exodus' to sail from Sete in France in May 1939.
