An original and rare copy of Invasion published in 1944 with text by Charles Wertenbaker of Time, illustrated with 16 of Capa's images.
After the initial landings Capa and Wertenbaker decided to document the US advance up the Cotentin peninsula until the capture of Cherbourg.

ROBERT CAPA AT PICTURE POST
From Picture Post's inception in October 1938 until April 1939, Stefan Lorant published four major Spanish Civil War photo-essays by fellow Hungarian Robert Capa. Lorant, in his introduction to the 'This Is War' essay, described Capa as the "Worlds Greartest War Photographer.


'This is War" photo essay with eleven pages of Robert Capa's photographs of the Loyalist's counter-attatcks along the Rio Segre during the Spanish Civil War.
Also features Gerda Taro's iconic portrait of Capa.

On the 15th January 1939, Capa travelled along the Barcelona to Tarragona road to record the refugees fleeing the fighting.  The columns came under attack from Fascist planes.   Capa captures the horror and carnage in the aftermath of these attacks

'In this very rare issue of Regards, Capa documents the Loyalist counter attacks along the Rio Ségre in November 1938.

 

Capa documents the plight of the Republican army in exile. 75,000 men were interned in a camp on the beach of Argles-sur-Mer in France.
