An insightful biographical review entitled 'The man who invented himself' by John Hersey (War correspondent/ author who met Capa in Sicily 1943) of Capa's 'Slightly Out of Focus' published in 1947. The article is accompanied by George Rodger's portrait of Capa. In Hersey's words;
"Because of all the things about Capa, real and unreal, Slightly out of focus will likely remain as the greatest one man portfolio of photographs ever assembled of World War Two. The text is just the ßinventor's invention about himself"
