101 Squadron Lancaster DV267 RAF Ludford Magna Illustrated 19th February 1944

A very rare and original copy of Illustrated magazine which featuring the photo essay 'Goodbye Berlin'.
Photographer, R. Saidman, documents the men of 101 Squadron of  Bomber Command as they prepare for a wartime raid on Germany from their airfield at R.A.F. Ludford Magna.
 
It also includes a photograph of the crew of Avro Lancaster Mk.III DV267 SR-K.  The aircraft was shot down on the 20th February 1944, enroute to Leipzig.
 
The magazine was published the day before DV267 was shot down.
 
The 80 year old magazine is complete and original and in very good condtion.
