An original copy of Life magazine featuring the photo essay by William Vandivert entitled, ' FIGHTER COMMAND R.A.F. HEROES SAVE ENGLAND'
 
The photo essay runs over eight pages and features F/O Albert Gerald Lewis D.F.C. and the Huricanes of 85 Squadron taken during the height of the Battle of Britain.
 
The resulting photographs were not published in Life until March 1941
 
The magazine is original and complete, the cover is detached and has an archival repair to the interior of the spine.
