Haywood Magee Paratroops Picture Post 18th March 1944

Joseph Haywood Magee documents the men of the 10th Battalion Parachute Regiment in training at RAF Ringway.
One Paratrooper documents his own descent.
The batatlion was formed by transferring the 2nd Bn. Royal Sussex Regiment to an airborne role in January 1943. The Battalion took part in Operation Market Garden and suffered considerable losses in the defence of the Ooesterbeek perimeter.
The magazine is complete and in very good original condition
