Peter Stackpole A Designer Home of His Own Life 10th September 1950

Peter Stackpole photographs the Eames House and studio at Pacific Palisades which was completed in 1949. The house designed by Charles and Ray Eames was part of the Case Study program initiated by John Entenza of Arts and Architecture magazine. The challange was too relate innovative design with modern building technology. The Eames House CSH#8 was built entirely of pre-fabricated components avaliable in building catalogues.

Stackpole also photographs the film director Billy Wilder in a seat designed for him by Eames.
