W. Eugene Smith U.S. Navy Life 28th October 1940

Eugene Smith's portrait of a US Navy rating on parade appeared on the cover of Life magazine in October 1940. Smith is still accredited to the Black Star agency, who negotiated with Life magazine in late 1939 to allow Smith to work for them for two weeks every month.
The magazine is complete with 130 pages and also features the work of Carl Mydans.
